Butterflies Colour Vol. 1

42 butterflies and moths in full colour: morphos, birdwings, swallowtails, a monarch, sulphurs, a luna moth, a cecropia, a death's-head hawkmoth and more.

Every graphic is a transparent PNG, flat and seen from above, wings open, head at the top. Drop them onto any background, or run them one after another for a loop.

Cut out and cleaned up by 11PT from the hand-coloured engravings in Pieter Cramer and Caspar Stoll's De uitlandsche kapellen (1775 to 1779), scanned by the Biodiversity Heritage Library. The original plates are public domain.
